There is an old saying that life is not all roses. Being human, one always comes across challenges and difficulties and thus mistakes and frustrations are inevitable. It is how we survive from and what we learn from the mistakes that count, rather than blaming ourselves blindly.

At that time I was the president of the dancing club. We had won so many prizes that I began to feel arrogant. Having belittled a college hip-hop contest, I didn't organize the members in the club together to practice as often as possible. Although one of them told me that we should change the leading dancer on the ground that she was not suitable for this contest and our experience in this kind of dance was insufficient, I ignored her valuable advice and stuck to my own way. At last, our team was defeated by others and we were the second last in the competition.

I felt frustrated by this failure, yet drew a lesson from it at the same time. From then on, I gradually took a modest attitude towards every challenge and tried my best to do everything well. What’s more, I became a good listener and highly valued others’ reasonable advice, which I regarded as a key to success in today’s society of teamwork.
