Well, when talking about things that I feel proud of, I have one that I will never forget.

In the junior year, I participated in a volunteer program which was to help foreign students learn Chinese. The teacher in charge told us the next day we would go to the Great Wall and Ming Tombs with the foreign students. At that moment I decided to learn the history of the Great Wall and Ming Tombs so that I could introduce them to the foreign friends and got them deeply understand the prosperous history and great power of China. So that night, I searched the internet to learn about the formation, development, functions and other aspects of these two places of interests. As we know Chinese history is quite complicated and for the sake of clear explanation, I had to remember every emperor of each dynasty, why the Great Wall was built, and how it was developed and all details like those. After I got fully understanding of the history, I suddenly found that I should prepare the introduction in English. Then I sorted all the Chinese materials and translated them into English. However, a new problem appeared, there were some words that I had never met, which were also difficult to bear in mind. Then I wrote the name of each emperor on a card as clues to remind myself. Like this, again and again, that night I repeated each detail so that I could fluently explain them to my friends. The next morning, I got up early and reviewed all the material again.

No pain no gain. In fact, I was still a little nervous when we were on our way there. But when I began to guide them to each scenery spot and introduced it to them, all in my mind was every detail I had prepared the day before. So I made it. I successfully got them to feel the great power of our country. And every time they uttered WOW, a sense of achievement would strike me. So this was my first time that I felt extremely proud of myself and this experience impressed me most.
